Meera has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She started with ballet and started training in Bharatanatyam at the age of 5. Meera completed her Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha in July of 2023. Meera has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She started with ballet and started training in Bharatanatyam at the age of 5. Meera completed her Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha in July of 2023. Apart from Bharatanatyam, Meera was on UMBC’s athletic dance team for 3 years and founded the only classical dance team at UMBC. She is trained in ballet, modern, tap, jazz and hip hop and often draws inspiration from all of these forms for her choreography. Meera currently works as a scientist in Gaithersburg and holds an MS/MBA in Biomedical Engineering And Business Administration from Drexel. Meera is super excited to be part of Jhalak and inspire a new group of dancers!
