Meet Olivia Salah, Marketing Intern of Jhalak Dance Academy!
Olivia is a full time student at the University of Maryland where she is majoring in Accounting and minoring in Technological Entrepreneurship. She started dancing when she was 7 and continued throughout high school. Her favorite style to perform is lyrical/contemporary.
We asked Olivia to tell us a few things about herself that her Jhalak family might enjoy knowing.
Here are a few fun things some of you might not know about Olivia:
1. “I was on the Varsity Pom squad all four years of high school at Magruder High School.”
2. “I was born in Maryland, but lived in Pennsylvania for seven years, from the ags 3-10 years old.”
3. “I am 50% Arab and love to dance to Arab music at family gatherings.”
What is your favorite quote?
“My favorite quote is “You are only confined only by the walls you build yourself” said by Andrew Murphy because it reminds me that I have the power to achieve anything”
With a busy schedule in hand, how do you refocus yourself?
“When I am feeling overwhelmed with a busy schedule, I like to journal. Sometimes writing down my thoughts helps me gain clarity on what I should do and/or how I should approach the situation.”
